Veterans For Peace Santa Barbara unites with chapters across America to to increase public awareness of the cost of war, care for members and their families, and educate the public about veteran's issues. We are committed to our Constitution and the rule of law. We seek the elimination of nuclear weapons and of the use of war for political and economic ends. We invite you to join us, to attend one of our events, to become involved in a project, or to join our email discussion group on related topics. We may be able to assist you if you are a veteran, or a member of the public interested veterans and peace. You can help us do our work by volunteering or donating.

The Veterans for Peace have endorsed the organization entitled “A Year without War”, which proposes a year-long abstinence from war in the year 2020. Arlington West going on hiatus...

At the last business meeting of Arlington West members of the Santa Barbara chapter of the Veterans for Peace voted to take a break from 10 years of setting up Arlington West on a (usually) more than monthly basis. The next set-up will occur in April 2014; in the meantime, chapter members will be meeting monthly to decide on their next course of action, whether it be to continue to set up the demonstration and/or to add other demonstrations/activities.
